Gala & Awards Ceremony

On September 29, 2010, VERANDA hosted the second annual Art of Design Awards Gala to honor six design industry trailblazers whose work is both innovative and timeless.

Celebrity event planner Antony Todd designed the gala, which was held at the Hearst Tower in New York City. VIP award presenters included Eldo Netto, Bunny Williams,  Robert A.M. Stern, David Rockwell, John Danzer and Joseph Padulo. A portion of ticket sales and silent auction donations benefited The Alpha Workshops, the decorative arts atelier and school established to train and employ creative people living with HIV.

The winners were presented with a Baccarat Art of Design Award and the Art of Design Awards film, documenting the creative process of each winner, was unveiled.

All proceeds, including those raised in the auction and a portion of tickets sales were donated to The Alpha Workshops, the decorative arts atelier and school established to train and employ creative people living with HIV.
